Kansas City Real Estate Market Report – May 2010 for Jackson County MO, Johnson County KS, Clay County, Ray County and Platte County

Jackson County MO:

Number of homes SOLD were DOWN 44.9% ▼ Average Price fell 0.58% ▼. Inventory of houses listed for sale is up 0.60% from May 2009.

Johnson County KS:

Number of homes SOLD were DOWN 50,3%▼ Average Price fell 0.49%▼. Inventory of houses listed for sale is down by 44 units compared to May 2009.

Clay and Ray Counties in Missouri:

Number of homes SOLD were DOWN 40% ▼ Average Price UP 13.7%▲ Inventory of houses listed for sale is up 2.1% from May 2009.

Platte County in Missouri:

Number of homes SOLD were DOWN 37.2% ▼ Average Price UP 23%▲ Inventory of houses listed for sale is up 4.3% from May 2009.

Heartland MLS – entire 5,000 square mile area

– Number of homes sold were ▼DOWN 45% Average Price ▲ UP 3.8%.

– Year to Date number of homes SOLD is ▲UP 6.8%.

– Total homes SOLD so far in 2010 is 12,702.

– The Average Price of homes SOLD is at $158,900 – ▲UP 4.6% from 2009.
